Some Deals This Week

First Tuesday of the month: Discounts at Sobey's, Save-On, Safeway, Nutter's, anywhere else?

Superstore:
Spend $250 get a $25 gift card OR hangers ($29.99 value)
I highly recommend you get a flyer and check it out, lots of good deals:
Purex TP 15 double rolles $6.97
Tide detergent $9.97 (reg $15.97)
Brocoli $0.96/bunch (this is one of those superfoods we should be eating all the time)
Dan-Active 8 pack drinkable yogurt $3.99 + dep (reg $6.19 each)
Black diamond cheese strings 28 count $7.99, reg 10.99
SunRype Fruit-to-Go $0.25 each, reg $0.40
BUT, they are 72/$15.99 ($0.22 each) at costco this week (I was there Thursday and got that price, not sure when they change their prices).
Cascade 2in1 action packs 44-54count $10.97, reg $13.97
Bartlett pears $4.98/6lbs
Canteloupe $1.46 each
vine ripened tomatoes $0.86/lb
Degree or Secret antiperspirant $1.64, pretty sure this is a great deal
School supplies - lots on discount now, stock up on crayons and felts just because they are fun
Black Diamond cheese $6.99/700g - best deal by far - I don't like to pay more than $1/100g and you don't find this often. Unfortunately, you can't often find the low fat (<20MF) cheese for this price often.
Nature Valley granola bars $1.67/box, reg $3.57 (I generally only recommend Kashi or Nature Valley granola bars, all the rest are in the other/junk category)
Raisin Bran (675g) or Mini Wheats (445-555g) $2.77, reg $5.26

Wal-Mart
Grapes $0.97/lb. Stock up now. Winter's coming.
Bartlett Pears $0.88/lb
Cantaloupe $1.47 each
seedless oranges $.97/lb
Cauliflower $0.97 each (again, like brocoli, eat this veggie)

Costco:
If you missed out on the 8 cent photos, they will be 10cents from Oct 31-Nov 13.

Old Navy
Jeans & Hoodies - buy one get one free this weekend

On a final note, if you're ready to take the plunge into home canning, Superstore had a kit with the big pot, tongs, large funnel, recipe book and a few other goodies for the low price of $39.99. It's on the bottom shelf of aisle 1 (I had to ask because who puts canning stuff next to the pop?)
And, if you don't know what you're doing, check out the Atco Blue Flame Kitchen for the most up-to-date canning information and recipes. I recommend everyone checks out this site.

I'll leave the rest for JoAnn.
