Kick it to the Curb

Check out the website for more details, but basically you put out anything you don't want anymore with a FREE sign on your curb this weekend. Drive around town to see if there is anything you want.
Great way to reduce your impact on the environment while getting free stuff and getting rid of things.

Safeway Airmiles

If you buy 5 select Jumbo or Family sized Kellogg's cereal this week (on sale for 2/$10) you get 100 bonus airmiles. Plus there is a coupon in the flyer that if you buy 3 Kellogg's (smaller boxes on for 3/$12) you get 4L milk for free.
I got 5 big boxes of cereal, 4L of milk and 100 airmiles for just over $25 today.
And, I picked the specially marked boxes so I'm getting two free t-shirts. Watch out for me and Byron sporting Froot Loops and the Kellogg's Rooster tees. We'll be the coolest kids around.

McGavin's Bread Basket

Sorry for forgetting to post earlier but McGavin's Bread Basket on the north end always has 10 day-old items for $12 (bread, buns, etc). A pretty good deal if you've got room in your freezer.
However, they have an additional 20% off everything on the last Friday of every month. So, you could get 10 loaves of bread for $9.60 = $0.96 per loaf. Now that's a really good deal.

Free Mason Jars

My parents are cleaning out their canning stash and have the following to give away:
3-4 cases (15 jars each) of quart/1L mason jars
3-4 cases (15 each) of pint (500mL) mason jars
1-2 cases (15 each) 250mL mason jars (brand new)

I'd love to spread them out, so if want a few cases, give me a call to arrange pick-up or delivery. you will likely need to buy new screw-on lids.
A little birdy told me that we will do a weekday Relief Society meeting (enrichment) on canning this summer. If you want a head start to do strawberry jam, just go to the Atco Blue Flame kitchen website (google it) for the most up-to-date information on how to safely process your food.

I am also cleaning out my closet and have the following to give away:
Reitman's size 11 ladies suit (jacket & pants) grey pinstripe. This fit me in my slightly heavier days and is in good condition.
Ladies black dress coat, estimate size 8-10
rubber duck wall vinyl stickers for a baby room
small microwave (gone)
