JoAnn's Grocery Picks for the Week

So sorry for not posting for a while. I haven't seen anything that I even thought was worth mentioning. Expect slim pickings for a while as world food prices remain unusually high.
That being said, here is what caught my eye this week.

NoFrills Dollar Days
pork side ribs (bbq season) $2.00/lb or $4.37/kg
whole frying chicken $2.00/lb or $4.37/kg. I'm not inclined to pay this much for so much skin and bones, but if you have the need for a whole chicken, this will do.
Imperial marg. $2.00/907g tub (medium size tub)
Philidelphia cream cheese, spreadable 400g tub $3.00
Feta cheese (can't remember the variety) $2.00/150 g tub Is this okay?
Pillers luncheon meat 125g $1.00 That's $.80/100g
McCain straight cut fries $1.00/pkg
Michelinas or Zap'ems frozen entrees $1.00 ea
Hunts pasta sauce $1.00
Beatrice chocolate milk 1L/ $1.00
pineapple $2.00 (hope you got to Sobey's to get very large ones at $1.79 ea this last week)
red peppers $2.00/pk of 4

  1. Looks like some good deals. I'll probably go out Tuesday morning. If anyone wants just a few items, call me and I'll pick them up for you.
