JoAnn's Grocery pick for the week

Hi All. This week at NoFrills is a continuation of last week's sale. It's a good one. Here's a few of the things I think are worth the drive.
Cantaloupe $1.88 ea
broccoli $.88/bunch
Cauliflower $1.88 ea
Romaine hearts $1.88/3pk
tomatoes $.88/lb
Boneless pork loin (says slices into chops, but remember this is BONELESS, so I plan to take those slices and freeze them separately to use for a quick stir fry meat.) $1.88/lb
Pork side ribs $1.88/lb Good for ribs, but I'm not a fan of paying for a bunch of bones when I can get ZERO bones for the same price.
Silani cheese blocks $3.88/500g bars!!! Provolone, cheddar and mozza. They didn't have any last week, hopefully they will this week. It's not a regular item, so cross your fingers.
Unico kidney beans, and others as well $.88/540mL cans
Quaker oats $1.88/1Kg bag
Old El Paso taco seasoning mixes or Club House gravy mixes $.88 (Not too bad)
Pizza pops $1.88/box of 4
McCain Ultra Thin pizza $2.88
General Mills cereal (oatmeal crisp, Fibre 1) $2.88
Glade air fresheners $.88
Arm and Hammer liquid laundry detergent $3.88 for an 80 load jug. I've tried this detergent and I really like it. The last time I bought it at Superstore, it was $4.95 and that was on sale. This is a great deal.

Safeway
Strawberries 3 lbs/$4.99 That's $1.67/lb
Cheez Whiz $4.99
Oranges $4.99/10lb box

Sobeys
All 3 items listed for their 3 day sale (Fri, Sat,Sun) are good buys:
Boneless pork loin chops or roast $2/lb If you will note, this is a bit more than at NoFrills above, but if you can't get out there, or don't want to, this is a great price. It also says that you can get the roast as well as the chops, so if you prefer the roast, you have an option.
head lettuce $.77
Large eggs $2/doz Is limited to 2 though, so don't wait too long.

For the rest of the week, here's what I thought was noteworthy.
mushrooms, white or brown $2./lb Not spectacular, but is okay
grape tomatoes $2/clamshell
mini cukes $2/pack of 6
Sour cream $2/500mL
Signal frozen veggies $2.79/lKg bag
Kraft bbq sauce $.99 (Does this mean that winter is over??)

  1. Walmart has the Wilton cake/cupcake carriers for $10! Usually $20-30 regular price.
