My counsellor did this for a Sharing Time a few months ago and I thought it was great, so I'm going to do it too. She said her family does this for FHE on a regular basis. Here's how it works:
1. Gather any/all of the following items that you may have in your house and put them in a bag/box.
Rock
Boat
Snake
Apple
Gold coins
Armour
Sword
Bow & Arrow
White linen
Lion
Whale
Sheep
Heart
Staff/stick
Doll (baby)
2. For FHE each family member takes a turn pulling an item out of the bag and then everyone gets to tell a scripture story related to that item. For example Sword = Ammon, Nephi, etc (I picked King Solomon offering to cut the baby in half, some of the Primary teachers thought that was a bit violent, but, really, what's the difference between that and cutting off Laban's head?)
That's it. Easy as Pie.
